Decision Making

Decision Making

“Decision Making” is an expression used to illustrate situations in which professionals must choose a path in order to solve a problem. That’s the kind of attitude the business world demands. Leaders and also the great entrepreneurs, for the most part, have the capacity to make decisions, under any circumstances.

In the business world, business books, and entrepreneurship manuals, this expression is becoming more and more common. Learning to deal with situations and making decisions that lead to success is every professional’s homework. The truth is that this expression is more than a requirement of the world today.”Decision Making” is a beautiful way of describing something natural and practiced by all human beings from the beginning of their lives. No one can stop making choices and making decisions.

The profession, the capacity, the intelligence, the position. Everything is indifferent, for even a child makes the decision-making process countless times. Examples to illustrate are infinite. From what medicine will I take to cure a strong flu, how much will I keep in my savings when I receive my salary. Both are situations that require decisions and both will generate variables that must be analyzed to find the best solution.

In the case of the strong flu, I have the flu and that is my problem. I can act in two ways: buying medicine or staying in bed. Since I have to work, I decide that I will buy a medicine to get better soon. I made the decision! However, the problem, the strong flu is still not solved. You have to deal with the variables. Every decision-making is succeeded by an analysis of the factors. In this case, I will ask a friend to buy the medicine so I can continue to save on the bed. I delegated a task to handle the variable. Once we have identified the variable we must take steps to solve the problem.

For professional or personal life, the important thing to learn about “decision making” is that every problem must be seen as a whole. You must exit it to see it better. By doing this we will be able to analyze the variables and guide our decisions in the most intelligent and beneficial way for ourselves. Once the paths are clear, it is up to the decision-maker to choose which one to follow. It is at this time that delegation of tasks and investment of effort enter to achieve the desired result.
