The word worry already says: you pre-occupy a space that was empty. You go there and fill that space with something that has not happened yet. Before the event you already occupy with it. So it ends up causing an internal event, which is neither good nor healthy. After all you will get headache dealing with a problem that can happen if you pre-occupy.
But what is the need to pre-occupy your mind with a subject that has not yet come? None. And here comes one of my favorite practices in life, meditation. To meditate is to empty the head of worries and deal with the needs of the now. Of course there is no total emptying, because we are human beings, but can empty enough. The more you occupy your head with today , the less space left to worry about tomorrow . So I guess the secret to not having concern is this: Deal with what you have to do now, occupy your entire day that tomorrow’s problems stay for tomorrow. Occupation is attitude and result, worry is frustration.
But, you see, do not mistake concern for prevention. We should be preventive, but not worried.
