There is still hope for ethics

There is still hope for ethics

The 21st century shows more the revival of old theories, with the redemption of values

Without the establishment of a new legitimate world order. There is exaggerated euphoria in the complex of Poliana complex and facade radicalism. Corrupted under the most varnished face without flushing reassume their positions legitimized at the polls, despite the severe criticism of the people, which is always manipulated as archetypes of political idealism.

The great problem remains what philosophers of ancient history, as Aristotle and his disciples already knew: perceiving, understanding, and taming one’s own ego.

The issue is not technical (knowledge, capacity building) and yes, intentions and interests. Just remember that crimes whose authors demonstrate intent receive sentences with heavier sentences.

It can be a good yardstick for measuring the (negative) power of the ego. Charismatic leaders succumb to tyranny and summarize their goals to utilitarian happiness, in which everything and everyone is used to ensure fulfillment of their desires. Aristotle considered the most simple and limited form of happiness incompatible with those who assumed responsibility.

However, it is the most common practice. The charism promotes electoral results, as verified by Carl Jung, who created the theory of collective unconscious, applied and proven in practice by the head of Nazi propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, who used it to promote his version of facts founded and supported by popular conviction.

Political awareness movements on social networks are very valid, but it is not enough to enjoy and share posts. The laws are legitimate, however, manipulable with various amendments and artifacts that protect corruption in various forms, so any change requires much more engagement in the streets and real spaces, besides virtual adhesions.

They are fundamental steps, showing that there is still hope and so, the future may be very different from what the great philosophers have imagined, but it may be very close to the ideal of humanity that they long for.
